Welcome to Good with Custard! We’re an independent bakery based in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, dedicated to bringing you the kind of comforting, classic bakes that instantly make life feel a little bit sweeter.

From One Oven to Our Own

The story of Good with Custard really starts with our founder, Lucy. For years, Lucy was the head baker at the beloved Taste of the Country bakery in Shipston-on-Stour. Armed with her mixing bowls, a passion for baking, and a leap of faith, Lucy decided to step out on her own. In [MONTH, YEAR], Good with Custard was officially born.

What We Bake

While we love all things sweet, we are probably best known for our hand-iced gingerbread. From classic tractors and trains to seasonal favorites like Easter bunnies, Halloween monsters, and Christmas stars, our gingerbread characters are baked to a perfect snap and decorated by hand with love.

But why “Good with Custard”? Because to us, the best desserts are the ones that remind you of home, the comforting, nostalgic bakes that practically beg for a generous pour of warm, creamy custard.
